Hi, I’m Sarah — welcome to rcpfood.com.
I’m a 42-year-old home cook from Virginia, and while I’ve never worn a chef’s coat or trained in a professional kitchen, the heartbeat of my home has always been the kitchen. My greatest joy? Creating smoothies that burst with flavor and simple, comforting meals that anyone can make — no matter their skill level.
My journey into cooking started in the most personal way: with my husband. He was a Navy soldier with a gentle spirit and a huge love for food. He taught me how to cook — not just with ingredients, but with heart. We’d spend hours in the kitchen, blending, chopping, laughing, and creating. His dream was to travel the world in a caravan, collecting recipes and stories, and one day write a book about global cuisine and the best juice blends.
He passed away before he could live that dream, but he left me something more lasting: his love for cooking and our incredible son, Kevin.

Since then, I’ve made it my mission to keep his spirit alive through food. I started reading everything I could — books on smoothies, research on different diets, nutritional studies — anything that could help me understand how to nourish both the body and soul. I’ve become endlessly fascinated by how the right combination of fruits, vegetables, and spices can energize, heal, and comfort.
rcpfood.com is more than just a recipe blog — it’s a tribute. It’s where I share the meals we loved, the smoothies we couldn’t stop sipping, and new ideas inspired by what I continue to learn every day. You won’t need fancy gadgets or hours of free time — just a little curiosity and a love for good, wholesome food.
Whether you’re here looking for a delicious smoothie, exploring healthier eating, or just craving a moment of inspiration, I’m truly glad you stopped by. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
With love,
Sarah
